ExxonMobil Indonesia is looking for Deputy Project Manager who will be placed at Jakarta, to support the Project Manager and Project Management Team by coordinating and stewarding activities such as coordination of project issues resolution process, provides transition bridging between project stages, like an engineering to procurement, to construction, to systems completion, and to startup.

The Key Responsibilities

A Deputy Project Manager at ExxonMobil Indonesia will be interfaces with contractors and Project Team for problem solving and resolution of project issues, as well as in collaboration with the Project Manager, gain alignment with the Project Management Team on project execution needs, objectives, and requirements. This position will also responsible for safety, quality, cost, and schedule for the Early Work Program and Well Pad Facilities portions of the project work scope.

The Deputy Project Manager duties will vary depending on the size and scope of the business or corporate project, but in general, the deputy is required to assist the project manager to get the project done within budget and deadlines. This role must be able to work closely with the project manager to ensure the smooth running of the project. This includes, but is not limited to scheduling, assigning staff, allocating resources, assessing risk and management, coordination of the various components that contribute to the overall project to ensure they are delivered on time, ensuring that deadlines are met.

Required Skills

To become a Deputy Project Manager at ExxonMobil Indonesia, the candidates must have planning and problem-solving skills, and be able to set clear, measurable goals. They should emphasize good time management without sacrificing quality, and better able to negotiate with and deal with diplomacy and tact. The bigger the team, the more they need to be aware of group dynamics and relationship management.

In this role, you must also be able to use the Microsoft Office suite of programs, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Access, and if the project requires a large database. In addition, they must know Microsoft Project or project tracking software the same. This person must be able to use scheduling software to keep track of key dates involved in the project, such as meetings, deadlines, milestones and so on.

Additionally, the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with 10 years experience at least some of the functions and tasks through project engineering, construction, and project services activities. This is a position that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to read, write, and speak English. Budgeting software is another key tool to be able to use and produce regular reports in this position.
