PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 5 Purwokerto ready to add 40 new security officers. The addition of security personnel is done so that security and order in the train satatsiun and maintained.
Previously, PT KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto has 90 security personnel. With these additions, now PT KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto has 130 security personnel.
Surono as Manager of Public Relations of PT KAI DAOP 5 Navan said that security personnel are also tasked to curb if there is a train passenger who smoke and there is a desperate hawkers selling on the train.
"The hawkers are only allowed to sell the station and not on the train, if there is a stubborn and desperate to sell on the train then the security officers will crack down," said Surono.
Surono said again that PT KAI policies requiring conformance with the name of the ticket in the name of the identity card will be more fluent with the addition of security personnel.
"If adequate security personnel, the oversight of regulatory compliance and ktp ticket name will go smoothly," added Surono.
Regulatory compliance in the name of the ticket and the name of the identity card was done to eliminate the practice of brokering. Ticket whose name does not match the ID will be refused entry to the platform and does not apply to board the train.
Besides the addition of security personnel, PT KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto will also maximize the 300 transportation security officers during Eid later. The security guard came from elements of the military and police elements.
