PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PT. PLN Pesero) is the Indonesian biggest state-owned company in electricity power service. All 100% of PLN's shares owned by the Government of Republic of Indonesia with the State Minister for BUMN. PLN's head quarter is in Jakarta and operated 47 business units across Indonesia, consisting of 6 units in Java Bali operation area, 9 units in West Indonesia operation area, 8 units in East Indonesia operation area, 6 units in services operation area, 12 units parent projects (UIP) and 6 units in PLN Generations (KIT).

In 2011, the Company succeeded in the realization of several programs. In operational performance perspective, the Company electricity production increased to 183,421 Gwh in 2011 from 169,786 GWH in 2010. Sales of electry energy reached 157,993 GWh or growth 7.3% from the previous year.
