PT Trikomsel Oke Tbk. (Perseroan), was established in Jakarta on October 7, 1996 under the name PT Trikomsel Citrawahana. In 2000, PT Trikomsel Citrawahana Trikomsel changed its name to PT Multimedia and the last in 2007 to PT Trikomsel Okay.
The Company is a leading provider of mobile telecommunications products and services well-known in Indonesia. The Company's business activities conducted through distribution and retail channels with the aim of realizing the vision of the Company: Achieving Confidence Provides Satisfaction and Company mission: To provide satisfaction and gain the trust of consumers who have a lifestyle different communication and scattered everywhere with a superior human resources, products and services are appropriate and supported by information systems and operational reliability.
On the distribution business, the Company works with independent retailers (dealers) who have one or more outlets in a relatively small amount. Until late 2010, the number of dealers and distribution centers, each of the Company as much as 11 892 active dealers and 108 distribution centers.
The Company has a retail network with a broad scope covering all areas of Indonesia which is supported by a growing infrastructure. Retail network is represented in the form of retail outlets under the name "Okeshop".
At the end of 2010, a network of retail outlets Okeshop reach 153 outlets in 808 cities across Indonesia. Through its network of retail outlets Okeshop, the Company sells various types of mobile telecommunication devices (cell phones) and accessories from various international manufacturers, namely Nokia, Sony Ericsson, iPhone, BlackBerry, Samsung and others. In addition, the Company also offers products such operator prepaid SIM card starter packs and recharge vouchers from leading operators in Indonesia as well as sales of netbook computers and the leading multimedia laptop.
Since 2007, the Company has sold content services (mobile content) from a third party or principal, including ringtones, games and other applications to increase satisfaction and user experience of mobile phones as part of the lifestyle (lifestyle). The Company does not restrict sales to certain segments given the portfolio of marketed products vary in terms of price, model and brand.
To expand the distribution network, customer convenience and reach a wider market, the Company also launched an online cell phone sales through www.oke.com. This site became Indonesia's first online store that offers telecommunications equipment with payment by credit card.
The Company continues to pursue growth that manifested through a new stage that has served the Company with a public company on 14 April 2009. Principles of good corporate governance will intensify the commitment made by the Company to achieve sustainable growth for all stakeholders. Values that have formed and started to take root in the culture of the company's work is expected to establish his principles in order to bring the company a strong advantage in terms of technology, finance and management.
