The Ministry is based in Jakarta and headquartered in Jl Pattimura 20, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan.

Kementerian PU is headed by a Minister of Public Works that since 2004 chaired by Ir Djoko Kirmanto Dipl. HE, replacing Dr Ir Soenarno Dipl HE. The Minister of Public Work is assisted by 4 directorate and 2 agencies.
