PLN is 100% owned by State Minister for State Owned Enterprise (BUMN). The Company provides electricity services to its customers, include generation, distribution, transmission and other services related to electricity. The Firms was founded in 1961 and formerly known as Electricity and Gas Bureau.

The name of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) was established in 1994. As at December 2012, PLN onwed 46 business units, 11 direct owned subsidiaries, 8 associate companies, and also supported by 2 joint venture companies. According to PLN's latest annual report (Annual Report 2012) as cited by JobsCDC.com, PLN continuously shows superior performance with total electric power sales of Rp232.66 trillion, growth of 11.8% from Rp208.02 trillion in 2011.

Education Requirements:

1. S1/D4: Electrical Power Engineering / Electrical / Power Engineering / Power; Mechanical Engineering;
2. D3: Electrical Power Engineering / Electrical / Power Engineering / Power; Mechanical Engineering; Management (Department of Business Management, Industrial Management, Business Administration, Commerce Administration and Marketing Management)

General Requirements:
Gender

• Male for Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
• Male/Female for Management courses.
• Single/not married and willing to not get married during their Pre-service Training;

Age limits:

• S1/D4: Birth in 1987 and thereafter
• D3: Birth in 1989 and thereafter

GPA

• GPA> 2.75 (For: Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering)
• GPA> 3:00 (For: Management)
