PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or commonly known as PLN is a reputable national electricity company of Indonesia, headquartered in Jakarta. PT PLN (Persero) is fully-owned by the Government of Republic of Indonesia through the State Minister for State Owned Enterprise. PLN engaged in electricity services, include generation, distribution, transmission and other services related to electricity. The Company incorporated in 1961 and originally registered as Electricity and Gas Bureau.

The name of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) was formed in 1994. At December 2012, PLN supported by 46 business units, 11 direct owned subsidiaries, 8 associate companies, and 2 joint venture companies. According to PLN's latest annual report cited by JobsCDC.com, the Company achieved significant performance in 2012. PLN’s revenue from electric power sales reached Rp232.66 trillion, an 11.8% increase from 2011 of Rp208.02 trillion.
